So, I said in a previous post that I love music. If I’m not singing, I’m listening to something. Because of this, I’ve decided to do a monthly playlist here on the blog. My May 2017 playlist includes some not very new songs and some recent releases. Check out below.

Lost Stars – Adam Levine (V (Deluxe))

So, I first heard this song when I watched the film Begin Again, right after it came out in 2013. At the time, I didn’t really like the song, but I listened to it again this month and loved it.

Falling Slowly – Louise Dearman feat. Shayne Ward (It’s Time)

Originally performed by Glen Hansard and Markíta Irglová, the song was written to the film Once. When I watched the film a couple of months ago, I instantly fell in love. There are various covers of this song, but the one I mostly listen to is this one.

Say You Won’t Let Go – James Arthur (Back from the Edge)

One of the few times Spotify Weekly Discover actually worked. This is a sad love song, a type of music I adore.

Beauty and the Beast – Ariana Grande and John Legend (Beauty and the Beast (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack))

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite films of all times. The Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson’s version is a wonderful classic. With the release of the new film, the song gained a new version with two singers I think are very talented. I think they did a great job, respecting the original one.

Gravity – Sara Bareilles (Little Voice)

Another time Spotify got it right. I love when you can feel the emotion through the voice in songs and this happens here. It’s a sad song, which again, I love.

Sign of the Times and Sweet Creature – Harry Styles (Harry Styles)

I’ve never thought that, at the age of 21, I’d say I like a Harry Styles’ song, but here am I. Sign of the Times was a great surprise and Sweet Creature reminded me of Ed Sheeran, my favourite male artist.

Bad Liar – Selena Gomez

Many songs were released this week and the one I liked the most was Bad Liar. Selena doesn’t have a strong voice, we all know that, and I think that now she’s making music her voice is good at. This song is great to listen to.

So, this is my May 2017 playlist! I think I managed to put together a good mix of songs. I hope you like it and tell me which songs you have been listening to.
