The fifth day of the New York Fashion Week counted with consecrated brands. From the Olsen sisters’ brand, to Oscar de la Renta, let’s see what marked the fifth day of shows
The Row, brand created by the twins, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, brought a monochromatic collection. The main piece in the collection was the coat. The item appeared in long lengths and always with a belts marking the waist. The chosen colours were block, white, creme and only one look in red.
Carolina Herrera brought once again her elegance to the runaway of the New York Fashion Week. The neck was the highlight of the collection, with deep necklines or countless bow ties. The white shirt, the brand’s symbol, appeared with moorings, huge collars and under sweaters. The gowns presented were, mostly, with a marked waist and fluids.

In their debut show in the creative control of the brand, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia bet on tailoring. The pieces were well cut and structured. As peças eram bem cortadas e estruturadas. The creative pair used a lot of colours. The collection had many strong colours, including a season trend, the pink + red combo. The party dresses followed the same line, colourful and structured.
Posen decided to present his collection in a different way this season. Instead of a trendy and crowded show, the pieces were shown through photographs. The designer presented a very feminine and sophisticated collection, and even a bit behaved. The colours ranged from black, white, red and blue. Always with closed tones, nothing very bright. Party dresses were a show apart. Os vestidos de vesta são um show à parte. Posen brought a wide variety of textures to his dresses, besides large skirts.
We are in the final stretch of one of the most important fashion weeks in the world! There are still the shows of famous brands like Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs. Let’s keep an eye on what’s going to happen in the next few days.
