Today I bring to you another Top 5 Wednesday. This time the topic is anticipated pre-orders for the rest of the year.

PS: the books don’t follow any particular order.

Anticipated pre-orders

The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

It’s the first book of uncle Rick’s new series called Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. I really like the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and The Heroes of Olympus (except Blood of Olympus), even though almost all books have basically the same formula. Rick’s books have characteristics that I look for in books to pass the time sometimes, they are light and fun.

Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs

It is the third and supposedly final book in the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children series. I’ve only read the first book, but I’m waiting for the third to be released then I can buy the two together and read them in sequence.

The Sword of Summer and Library of Souls

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Illustrated Edition by JK Rowling and Jim Kay (Illustrator)

As a fanatical Harry Potter fan, I can’t wait to get my hands on that illustrated edition. (JK Rowling taking me into bankruptcy again).

Anticipated pre-orders

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I don’t know too much about the plot, but I saw many booktubers talking about it. They were showing the edition that they had taken at BEA, and even the sample edition was so well done that now I want to read.

Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan and Deborah Biancotti

The book is being described as a kind of X-men and I love X-men, so why not give a chance for a book with this theme? Besides I’ve read other works written by Scott Westerfeld and I liked them.

This is my list and I can’t wait to read them.

Bye bye.
